Meet Jeremiah: A Devoted Dad

A devoted single father with a never-give-up attitude, Jeremiah has persevered through a journey of homelessness and survival as a victim of domestic violence and addiction. After experiencing homelessness for five months and living at a local shelter for an additional two months, Jeremiah and his family secured transitional housing at Simpson’s Passage Community.

Meet Rebecca Bard, Simpson Intern

As a business intern with Simpson, Rebecca Bard has applied her accounting skills and immersed herself in reconciling bank statements, budgeting, learning financial software programs, and completing other finance-related projects. 

From the start, this Metropolitan State University senior has also demonstrated leadership and flexibility to support the needs of Simpson staff and participants.

Remarkable Student Leader Supports Tools for School Program

Students in Simpson’s Housing Services’ Family Housing Program will be prepared for school this fall because of backpack and school supply donations received through its annual Tools for School campaign.  

Will McDonald, an incoming 11th grader at The Blake School in Minneapolis, is supporting this effort by organizing donations from Blake students and families for the second year in a row.
