Meet Don: Artist, Musician, and Simpson Youth Program Participant

Personable and humble, twenty-five-year-old Don is a participant in Simpson’s Youth Housing Program and a multifaceted, self-taught artist. He is a painter and sketch artist, a guitarist and composer. His self-expression extends to singing, rap, and writing poetry. “I love expression through art — art that can be consumed visually or audibly,” he says.

Local High School Student Leads Blanket Drive

Cole, a 12th grade student from Hutchinson High School, has a heart for service and a gift for collaboration. Last fall, Cole decided to initiate his own service project. He brainstormed with his sister, and the pair decided on a blanket drive.

Meet Teddy and Sugar

“I was homeless for five years. I had an addiction. I am diabetic, and I wasn’t taking care of myself.   

For years, I saw a line outside Simpson United Methodist Church in my neighborhood.

Minnesota Orchestra and Simpson: A Harmonious Partnership

Simpson is honored to partner with the Minnesota Orchestra, an organization dedicated to enriching, inspiring, and serving our community through music.

Young Volunteer Supports Simpson Through Cereal Drive

Eight-year-old Holtan wanted to help people experiencing homelessness. He also wanted to start a holiday giving tradition that would last throughout the year. Recalling the fun and meaningful experience his family had while serving two meals at Simpson’s shelter, Holtan decided to help guests at Simpson through a volunteer project.
