Education & Advocacy

Affordable housing is an issue affecting everyone in our community. You can get involved by engaging your lawmakers and letting them know housing and homelessness are important issues to you. Simpson endorses the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless’ Legislative Agenda and encourage you to take action by contacting the your elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels.

Resources for Self-Education

As part of Simpson’s ongoing efforts to support our staff, participants, and the community, we actively work to engage with ways to challenge racism and systemic injustices in order to best serve our mission and hold true to our values.

We invite volunteers and community supporters to explore resources to not only understand the many injustices that are at the root of Simpson’s work but to also gain a broader knowledge of the many aspects of the communities we serve.

Learn about housing and homelessness in your area, and broader community, by reading Minnesota Housing Partnership’s reports. Wilder Research conducts regular studies about homelessness in Minnesota.
