Kristi Becker

Kristi is a Family Advocate at Riverside Plaza. She works with 15 families who were long-term homeless but now have apartments. While in High School, she volunteered at the Hill Home Shelter, where her mother was an Advocate. She was inspired by that experience to become a licensed social worker and has her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bethel University. She has worked for several agencies in the community including Tubman, the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, and Families Moving Forward.

Outside of work, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband watching movies, gardening, and taking her nieces and nephews on adventures throughout the Twin Cities.

Kristi has been with SHS since 2013.
