As the Youth Housing Program Manager, Jess oversees Simpson’s non time-limited supportive housing program for 39 youth, ages 16-24, who have experienced homelessness. The youth receive housing, support, and advocacy at 66 West, a site-based housing community. Jess also manages Simpson’s Young Parent Program for parenting youth, ages 18-24, who have young children, ages 0-5. These families live in both site-based and scattered-site housing in Hennepin County.
Jess has dedicated her career to serving as an advocate on behalf of youth. She believes that it is important for young people to feel heard and empowered. When Jess is not on the frontline, assisting young people and her staff, she is drumming.
Jess acquired her education at McNally Smith College of Music. She has held various positions working with youth and families in crisis.
Jess joined the Simpson team in 2017.
