Our Team

Janelle Leppa

Janelle started out at Simpson as a Case Manager in 2001, and now serves as the Family and Youth Programs Director. In recent years, Janelle has focused on strengthening services to children and their parents. She has volunteer experience as an education and support group facilitator and supervisor at Tubman, a domestic abuse advocate at North Memorial Hospital’s Safe Journey program, and as a mediator with Community Mediation Services conducting mediations in schools, community settings, and court. She participated in the Minnesota Family Housing Fund’s Visible Child’s Services to Outcome Implementation Group and is currently participating on Generation Next’s 3^rd Grade Reading Action Network.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters.

Janelle has been at SHS since 2001.
