Our Team

Alyssa Bergstedt

Alyssa is a Family Advocate with the Young Parent Program. She works with young parents facing homelessness and helps connect them to housing, employment, education, and other resources within the community.

Alyssa has degrees in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Minnesota (Duluth) and worked primarily with survivors of domestic violence before coming to SHS. She was drawn to SHS when she read the mission and values and knew she wanted to be a part of what the organization does in the community. In her spare time, Alyssa likes being outdoors, listening to live music, and spending time with friends and family.

Alyssa has been with SHS since 2015.
