Tony Szczepaniak

LEA Global/Leading Edge Alliance

Tony assumed the role of global CEO at LEA Global/The Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) in May 2020. As CEO, Tony leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the international accounting association, focusing on membership best practices, cohesiveness, collaboration, and growth.

Tony leverages his experiences as a strategic thinker, business leader and change agent to work with LEA members to strengthen relationships, accelerate best practice sharing, and expand technical expertise and industry knowledge in accounting, audit, tax and business advisory.

Before joining LEA, Tony served as CEO at Moore North America, an association of accounting and consulting firms. Prior to that he was a partner at RSM US LLP as a national leader in their Alliance Group. He also held various tax roles for Diageo, The Pillsbury Company and BP Amoco which included a foreign assignment in Calgary, Alberta.

Tony has held several executive committee and resource panel roles for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Elmhurst College, a Master of Science degree in Taxation from DePaul University, both in the Chicago-area, and certifications from the University of Chicago, Harvard University and Stanford University.

Tony serves as a board member at Simpson Housing Services and is currently serving as president of the Council for his church, Immanuel Lutheran. When Tony’s not in the office or traveling, he stays busy spending time with his wife, Jill, and their three sons. He enjoys riding bike trails, golfing, and boating.
