Steve Proeschel

Community Volunteer

Steve Proeschel recently retired after 30 years as an investment banker at Piper Sandler (formerly Piper Jaffray). There, he served as Managing Director for the Public Finance Healthcare Group and was a member of the Public Finance Operating Committee. Prior to his work at Piper Sandler, he served as an Assistant to the Mayor for Saint Paul Mayor George Latimer.

Currently, he serves on the board of Como Zoo and Conservatory and on the Investment Committees of Simpson Housing Services, DeLaSalle High School, and the Science Museum of Minnesota, as well as the Governance Committee of the Minnesota Charities Review Council.

He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and was a summa cum laude graduate of Hamline University.
