Ivan Ludmer, President

Minneapolis City Attorney's Office

Ivan Ludmer is an assistant city attorney for the City of Minneapolis. His portfolio includes civil lawsuits and claims across the areas of employment, civil rights, torts, government authority, environment, land use, and real estate. Earlier in his career, he worked for the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Election Protection program, as a litigation associate at the law firms of Dorsey & Whitney and Stinson Leonard Street where he specialized in construction law, and as a staff attorney for the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Ivan has represented national companies in major litigation and has done pro bono work for the ACLU, Tubman Project, and housing clients. He is a graduate of University of Minnesota Law School and Marlboro College.  

Ivan has been on Simpson’s board of directors since 2018. He serves meals at the shelter, volunteers with Art 4 Shelter, and looks forward to taking on more active roles with the tutoring and mentoring programs.
