Dan Poorman

Retired - Formerly Dan’s Nicollet Car Wash

Dan Poorman is owner and general manager of Dan’s Nicollet Car Wash located in South Minneapolis. This followed a career in finance, marketing, and sales at General Mills, Inc. Dan also recently served as a founding member of Arise Project at Greater Twin Cities United Way.

Dan joined Simpson Housing Services’ Board of Directors in 1998 and over the course of 13 years, served two terms as Board Chair. He was elected an Emeritus Director of the Board in Fall 2011. Dan was initially connected to Simpson by Kayla Hall, then Director of Transitional Housing. Dan has also served as an overnight shelter volunteer and is currently a member of the SHS Property Committee.
