Simpson welcomes new Director of Finance

David joined Simpson Housing Services in July 2022 as Finance Director. Previously, he worked in the nonprofit sector for seven years as the executive director of Relate Counseling Center in Minnetonka while serving on the boards of directors of various food shelves and community organizations in the west Twin Cities. Volunteer spotlight: Council Member Aisha Chughtai

Aisha Chughtai is a busy person. She represents Ward 10 on the Minneapolis City Council – as she has been since November, when she became the first Muslim woman and the youngest person ever to attain a seat on the council.

But nonetheless, she still made time to serve lunch at Simpson’s emergency shelter. Read the whole story.

Subaru shares the love

Morrie’s Brooklyn Park Subaru stopped by Simpson’s new administrative and program office to deliver the funds raised with this year’s Share the Love partnership! They raised over $17,400 for Simpson’s shelter and housing programs. We couldn’t be more grateful for this show of support.

Virtual art sale postponed

We’re working with a new platform for our Art 4 Shelter online store this year, and we’re experiencing some technical difficulties.
