Taking Care of the Community

Posted on May 24th, 2021

We are grateful to the hundreds of Art 4 Shelter artists and supporters who donated and purchased art for the 11th annual virtual event on May 12, 2021.

This year, more than ever, we believe Art 4 Shelter has offered an opportunity to take care of the community.

We recognize this is a difficult time in Minnesota and our nation as the community grieves immeasurable loss and moves forward in a journey toward racial justice following the murder of George Floyd, Daunte Wright, and so many Black and brown lives taken at the hands of police.

By creating and purchasing one-of-a-kind artwork you have played an important role in Simpson’s work to end homelessness and advance racial equity for individuals who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

Thank you to the community for engaging in this vital fundraiser that is truly a collaborative expression of healing and social justice in our community.

Join us at the Art 4 Shelter Pop-Up Sale and Pickup Party on June 5!  Click here for event details.

100% of Art 4 Shelter proceeds support Simpson’s shelter and housing programs.

Please contact Elisabeth at eloeffler@old.simpsonhousing.org with questions about Art 4 Shelter.

Please take a moment to share why you participate in Art 4 Shelter by responding to our brief artist survey. We would love to hear from you!
