Madeleine Lowry’s artistic repertoire encompasses drawing, painting, collage, encaustic, and other techniques. Impressionism, color field art, and process-based art are her favorite styles. She identifies most with impressionist landscapes.
Madeleine has been painting since she was twelve years old. “When I was young, I wanted to be able to paint like Zoltan Szabo,” she says.
A studio art major in college, Madeleine has pursued art as a hobby. In her professional life she is a nutritional therapy practitioner, helping people address chronic symptoms through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
Madeleine has been contributing to Art 4 Shelter since the inaugural event nine years ago. “The event combines my interest in art with a favorite philanthropic interest,” she says.
Madeleine has had a few art shows at Unitarian churches and the Alliance Francaise.
Originally from New York City, Madeleine has lived in Minneapolis for 24 years.
